Municipal Court

 The Municipal Court of East Rutherford is responsible for the processing of all criminal and traffic complaints issued within the jurisdiction of the Borough of East Rutherford. 

The Municipal Court and Violations Bureau are located at 1 Everett Place, East Rutherford, New Jersey 07073.

The Violations Bureau is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm to answer questions and accept payments for parking and traffic summonses.

 The Municipal Court is in session on the First and Third Wednesday of each month at 1:00pm and the Second and Fourth Wednesday at 5:30pm.

Pay Tickets Minimize
Go to NJ Municipal Courts Direct and have the following information ready:

  • your parking or traffic ticket 

  • your license plate number

  • VISA or MasterCard (if you want to pay online). Any card that contains the VISA or MasterCard logo may be used on this site.

Overpayment Information Minimize

INFORMATION CONCERNING OVERPAYMENT:


Information obtained through the internet concerning overpayment of traffic fines is incorrect. The Division of Motor Vehicles is notified immediately upon receipt of payment, regardless of whether the fine is overpaid.

"NOT CASHING THE REFUND CHECK HAS NO EFFECT ON THE POINTS ASSESSED."
