Welcome Minimize
Message from the Superintendent... - Thursday, December 08, 2011

Dear Neighbors,

As a lifelong resident and a member of the Department of Public Works since 1984, I am honored to serve the residents of East Rutherford.  After obtaining my degree as a New Jersey State Certified Public Works Manager at Rutgers University, I was appointed to the position of Superintendent of Public Works in January 2004.

My goal is simple:  Provide the residents of East Rutherford with the best possible service while staying within the limits of my budget.  This is being accomplished with the continued support and cooperation of Mayor James Cassella, Public Works Commissioner Edward Ravettine as well as the rest of the council.  Service to the residents will continue to improve as we upgrade our facilities and equipment and more important increase the level of training our employees receive.

As you see improvements in the borough I encourage residents to share their comments and suggestions.  Likewise, if you are in an area of town that may be in need of improvement please contact my office so I can share your concerns.  Please take some time and view our web site.  This site contains important information about the operations of the Public Works Department and will be updated constantly to keep you informed of projects that may affect you in and around our town. Good health and happiness to you and I hope you enjoy all the Borough of East Rutherford has to offer.

Sincerely,

Alan DeRosa

Superintendent of Public Works
