The Shade Tree Division's goal is to provide the borough with as many beautiful and healthy trees as possible.  By maintaining existing trees and planting new ones, we not only beautify our hometown, but also give back to the environment.  These trees also provide shade, resulting in cooler temperatures during the summer months.

During the winter months, our tree professionals focus primarily on emergency situations.  In the spring, the focus changes to trimming and the replacement of dead or overgrown trees.  Any tree removed by the Division is replaced in a timely fashion.  If you know of a location in need of trees, please contact us and we will do our best in getting a beautiful tree planted.

The evaluation of borough trees is constantly underway. However, residents that have a specific question or request regarding their tree should contact the Department of Public Works.  Resident concerns will be addressed on a first come first serve basis, except in situations deemed to be emergencies.
