On February 19, 2008, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of East Rutherford voted to ban the use of metal cleats by athletes utilizing Borough recreational facilities.  The decision comes following the increasing damage metal cleats have inflicted on the Borough’s recently renovated fields, as well as the safety risk the cleats pose to other participating athletes. 

Any participant utilizing metal cleats will be removed from the facility.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
