Truck Company 1 of the East Rutherford Fire Department is happy to announce it will be hosting its annual Dennis G. Taormina, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Beefsteak on September 20th from 7pm until 11pm.
This year's entertainment includes the comedy of Joey Vega. Joey Vega is a well known area comic who has appeared in such features as Comedy Central's "Comic Groove", A&E's "Comedy on the Road", FOX's "Comic Strip Live." Joey is also known for his appearances in Rounders with Matt Damon, The Sopranos, Law and Order, and Trinity, as well as his opening performances for artists such as Marc Anthony and comedians like Chris Rock.
The East Rutherford Historical Society is happy to announce the return of its Townwide Garage Sale. The Sale will be held on September 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents interested in participating in the Sale should look for registration forms in their mailboxes the week of July 6 or obtain a copy at Borough Hall or the Special Events page of www.EastRutherfordNJ.net.
Registration is only $10 and includes waiver of a Borough permit, your sale included on a townwide map for sale-seekers, along with balloons and giveaways.
