East Rutherford Summer Recreation Camp Guidelines and Rules

Time and Pickup Procedure

• Summer Rec Camp is from 9AM to 2PM EST.   We ask that you pick up your child(ren) on time.
  • 1^st late pickup consequence: future pickup time will be reduced to 1:30PM
  • 2^nd late pickup consequence: your child(ren) will no longer be allowed in the Summer Rec Camp program.
• If someone new is picking up your child(ren), please let a head counselor know.   Additionally, if the camp closes early, you are responsible to pick up your child(ren).

Poor Behavior

• Poor behavior will not be tolerated in Rec, to foster a safe and enjoyable environment for all.   Poor behavior includes, but is not limited to: cursing, fighting, being rude, not listening, etc..
  • 1^st offense: your child will be asked to stop the poor behavior.
  • 2^nd offense: you will be contacted by a head counselor.
  • 3^rd offense: your child will no longer be allowed in Summer Rec Camp program.

Camp Rules

• Bikes, skateboards, and scooters are not allowed in the recreational area to prevent injuries.  
• Please make sure your child has plenty of water, as the park can get hot.
• We are not responsible for any lost or damaged property.   If your child brings a phone, they are responsible for it, as counselors are not allowed to hold onto items. 
• Counselors are not allowed to walk or drive your child(ren) home unless they are siblings.   This presents a major insurance issue. 
• The camp may not open or closes early due to excessive heat or rain.   Please make sure to pick up your child(ren) on time if this happens. 
• Any child caught stealing and/or intentionally damaging rec equipment and/or supplied will no longer be allowed to attend Rec.
